Ah…negativity.

How often do you hear that something can’t be done? Or that your idea is too crazy, and that you should do something more serious in your life?

Often? Then, it sounds like you may be spending your time with a dream stealer.

But don’t worry, there is a solution.

Whatever you hear about that you can and can’t do, especially when it comes to your dreams – remember IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU – but about a person who gives you his/her judgement.

It works like a mirror reflection.

You probably know this quote from Jim Rohn that

“ We are an average of five people we spend most time with.” We do influence one another a lot.

That’s why – it’s uber important to surround yourself with individuals who uplift you, encourage you to grow, and inspire you.

I can hear you saying –  but Lena I can’t change my family, colleagues, or friends, this is who they’re… – That’s correct.

Blaming isn’t a good strategy neither.

What you can do instead – is to take action.

Expose yourself to a new social environment, make new friends, perhaps go to your local Meetup groups, attend courses or seminars of your interest.

My dear, no one is holding you back.

Now, I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Do you  feel sometimes limited by the negativity in your social environment? How do you usually deal with it?
  2. Have you tried expanding your social network with new and positive people and if so, how did it affect your life?

Let me know in the comments below.

With love and encouragement,

Lena
