Are you worried you might be working too much, constantly feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by never ending emails and your workload?

You’re not alone.

We’re living in a demanding society where stress, anxiety and burn-out shadow us at work and at home.

Still, many of us believe that exhaustion is a status symbol of hard work. And sleep and rest are a luxury.

We think accomplishments and new possessions will bring desired happiness and satisfaction. It’s easy to fall into a trap where you measure your self-worth based on your net-worth.

Thankfully, there is a solution for a long lasting joy, satisfaction and meaning in work and life.

Play and rest are the two strategies that kick the burn-out’s ass.

If you struggle with constant deadlines and work pressures, I can hear you saying: Play, rest what a concept?!

It happens to me too, when anxiety kicks-in … doing something “careless” not related to my to do list creates this sense of stress and time waste.

STILL, it’s scientifically proven that play shapes our brains and opens up our imagination. Play helps us dealing with difficulty, it expands us and is an essential part of a creative process. Play helps us finding long-lasting joy and satisfaction in our work.

Work doesn’t work, without play.

Down-time and time out are important as well. Rest refreshes your brain and renews your body and spirit.

SO, let’s embrace spontaneity, fun and relaxation as from today!

Now, I’d love to hear from you:

Are you experiencing a constant stress at work?

  1. If so, have you tried infusing more play and rest time into your schedule?
  2. How these proved to be working for you?

Let me know in the comments below.  Your advice may meaningfully change someone’s life and prevent a burnout.

With all my love and care,

Lena
